Our School Meadow

We are proud to have been awarded four Green Flags in Scoil Bhríde. We currently have flags for the four themes of litter and waste, water conservation, energy and travel. We have begun working on our fifth flag for biodiversity. This will be a two year process. As part of our efforts we have decided to create a sustainable, pollinator friendly wildflower meadow next to the junior yard. The children in 2nd class had great fun this week helping to sow yellow rattle and plant bulbs. We look forward to seeing our meadow develop over the coming year.
