Exploring Trees Around Scoil Bhríde

Patrick Hunt, gardener and biodiversity specialist, came to visit us again this year and share his vast knowledge of trees with the boys and girls in 1st and 2nd class.

We were excited to learn that there are many different type of trees growing in and around the Scoil Bhríde grounds. We spotted a field maple tree, a Norway maple, a lime tree, a cherry tree, and ash tree and a hawthorn tree to name but a few. Patrick helped us to identify the trees by their leaves.
